Delivery & Returns

Delivery

The majority of items sold by Singletons Nurseries are delivered by our fleet of vehicles within a thirty five mile radius of our base in Lydiate Ash, Bromsgrove.

If you are beyond our usual delivery area, please feel free to enquire as it may be we are going your way with another load and we may be able to accommodate your requirements.

For loose product, delivery is from just £12 for local deliveries within 5 miles and £2.40 per mile thereafter. Bulk Bag deliveries are from £24 for local deliveries within 10 miles and are charged at £2.40 per mile thereafter. Mileage is calculated as by the distance via a suitable road. (We do not rely upon crows as they have proven unreliable).

Where an order contains products ordered both loose and in bulk bags, the delivery will be split between 2 or more vehicles as necessary. The additional delivery fee will be calculated at checkout.

Deliveries are made by way of a 7.5 tonne vehicle or larger, to kerbside (or driveway where access allows – this is at the driver’s discretion), unless otherwise agreed.

Saturday deliveries are possible and in some cases we can deliver same day but please do not bank on it. Where products are available for next day delivery, the order must be placed by 12:00noon.

The customer must ensure there is enough room for access. If, in the delivery drivers view, there is the possibility that there is no appropriate access, the customer may be liable for a re-delivery charge.

Returns Policy

Plants

Plants are a perishable, living product. If purchased in-store and you change your mind, we are unable to accept any exchanges or refunds. If the plant deteriorates within 5 days, we must be sent a photo or the plant must be brought back into store to be analysed to see why it has deteriorated. There are several factors such as lack of or over watering, the wrong feed applied, frost or other cold weather or poor soil conditions which are out of our control meaning we are unable to offer an exchange or refund – our knowledgeable horticultural teal will usually be able to tell what has gone wrong. If we cannot see any reason why the plant is in poor health we will be sure to offer you either an exchange or refund. After the 5 day period, we will not be able to accept any returns or refunds on any plants.

Plants are a living product, meaning their appearance can change at different times of the year. For example, some are deciduous and loose their leaves in the winter which is natural. Bedding plants/ annual plants will only last one season then will die – this is also natural. Leaves change colour, perennials, die down to nothing during the winter months – these are all natural and doesn’t mean that the plant is dead or dying.

Please note that as turf is a fresh, living product cut to requirements, it is non-returnable. Topsoil is also a non-returnable product.

Wow, our first time visiting and I cannot wait to come back! Beautiful, inspiring surroundings. Products are first class and you can tell the staff who look after the place do it with love. We are so happy with our purchases and very reasonable prices. I’ll make a regular visit now! I haven’t tried the Potting Shed yet but heard wonderful things so will look forward to trying it. So lucky this is local to us. Thank you!
