Bulk Products/Deliveries
Can I get a refund for my returned empty bulk bag?
Our bulk bags are designed to be used only once with our crane lorry and so we don’t issue refunds for returned bags.
Can I order half bulk bags of products?
Please refer to our product pages or enquire to see which products are available in which quantities.
How can I place an order with you?
Orders can be placed online, by telephone on 0121 457 9977 or, in person by visiting our Nursery in Bromsgrove.
Can items be viewed before I place an order?
Yes, of course, subject to stock and availability customers are welcome to inspect our products at our Nursery in Bromsgrove.
Can I get a time for my delivery?
Unfortunately we cannot specify an exact time for your delivery – delivery routes are worked out on the day and are dependent on load, location and any traffic restrictions.
However, our driver will telephone you when you are the next delivery on his route; usually 20-30mins before he expects to arrive.Do I have to be at home to receive my delivery?
If payment for your order has already been made, you do not need to be at home at the time of your delivery. We will deliver your items to the kerbside or onto the drive if driver thinks it is safe to do so. The driver will be post any Invoices/Receipts through your letterbox.
Do you cut railway sleepers to a required size?
We offer a cutting a service for our new Softwood and Mixed Hardwood Railway Sleepers – we are only able to cut the length of sleepers. Charges are made per cut. We are unable to make cuts to Reclaimed Railway Sleepers.
I'm having trouble placing my order online
We apologise if you come across any problems processing an order online. If this occurs please contact us on 0121 457 9977 during opening hours and we can take your order over the telephone.
How much is delivery?
Delivery charges are calculated based on distance from our site in Bromsgrove. You can get a quote by providing your postal code.
Can deliveries be carried round to the back garden?
Goods can only be delivered kerbside and not off the public highway.
Can bulk bags be craned over fences and walls?
Singletons crane lorries are only designed to lift and span to an 8ft diameter and cannot therefore crane loads over fences, walls or parked cars.
Can my delivery be placed on my drive?
It is down to the discretion of the driver as to whether the location is flat and suitable for access. We will not drive on a newly laid block paved or tarmacked drives.
Ordering and Laying Turf
How do I order turf for my garden please?
Measure the dimensions of the new lawn area in metres, feet or yards. You can then use the calculator on our website to work out how many rolls you need. Our rolls are supplied 1 metre square rolls.

- Water your new lawn immediately after installation. If cracks appear in the turfed lawn, it is a sign of under-watering.
- Pay particular attention to the edges and corners. Check under the middle of the turf to see if the water has penetrated to the underside.
- Water areas near buildings and paths more often where reflected heat dries the turf out faster.
- Be aware that windy days dry the turf out just as fast as hot days.
- Wait at least 1 week before cutting your new turf.
- When mowing never mow off more than one third of the length of grass; little and often is better.
- Try to mow to a regular length of 25mm.
How soon after purchasing turf should it be laid?
Our turf is cut fresh and it is best laid the same day that is delivered/collected. It is best to make sure freshly laid turf is watered regularly.
Can I return any turf I have over?
As turf is a living product and cut fresh to order we do not accept returns.
