Indeed our old barrels do not need to be used outdoors, we have sold many to those wanting to create a rustic look indoors such as in restaurants, bars and wine bars. Stood on end they become a rugged table.

Our quality hardwood barrels are ideal for a wide range of uses, they range in size and our stock is constantly being updated, typical half barrel sizes are: -


  • 24" wide and 14" deep
  • 19" wide and 13" deep

A frequently asked question is, "are these barrels water tight?" - many were once old whisky barrels and the answer therefore is yes. However, they can dry out and require re-proofing by adding water to make the wood swell and then by keeping toping-up the water.
